Moving Checklists
We want your move to go as smoothly as possible
Moving DOesn't Have to be Stressful
Moving comes with a lot of responsibilities, and many tenants find themselves with questions about what they need to do during the process. We've crafted these checklists to answer some of the most common questions we hear.

Move-in Checklist
Your first month's rent and security deposit are both due at the lease signing. Your deposit will be held as collateral through the duration of your tenancy. (Refer to the details on the move-out checklist for more information)
Your official move-in date will be scheduled at the lease signing.
Utilities should be placed in your name as quickly as possible, which will ensure services stay active in the property. You are responsible for keeping these accounts current throughout the term of the lease.
Move-out Checklist
Planning to move out of your rental? You'll need to refer to your lease, which defines the legal move-out date for your stay. You are responsible for paying rent in accordance with the lease terms. Please provide us with written notification of your intent to vacate, respecting the timeline as outlined.
Your rental needs to be brought back to rent-ready condition before you hand in the keys. To do this, you'll need to take care of the following important steps:
Rental Cleaning: Start by thoroughly cleaning each room, including wiping down walls, baseboards, and windows. Deep clean the kitchen by scrubbing appliances, countertops, and cabinets inside and out. In the bathroom, clean the toilet, sink, shower, and any mirrors. Vacuum and mop all floors, and don’t forget to clean out closets and storage areas.
Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you typically take care of outdoor maintenance and landscaping tasks for your rental home, it's important to address these once more before moving out. This may include mowing the lawn, cleaning the patio/deck areas, and replacing any lightbulbs in outdoor fixtures.
Repairs: Make every effort possible to address any damage that has occurred during your tenancy. This may include nail and screw holes in the walls, broken glass, and replacing smoke detector batteries.
Upon your departure, we will perform a final inspection. If we identify any damage, we will schedule repair visits. Costs associated with the repair will be deducted from the deposit.
We will return your security deposit to you as quickly as possible. Please note, in addition to repair costs, we will also deduct unpaid rent and any fees from the deposit. A full statement will be provided to you.
Remember, your deposit cannot be used to cover your final month's rent. Failure to pay your last month's rent will result in rent collection efforts, with the delinquency reported to the appropriate credit bureaus. We may also pursue legal action to recover monies owed.
